Business Compliance Manager MEA

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred

• Background may include Compliance, Finance, Audit, Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, or Regulatory  

• Proven track record in delivering results, self-starter and ability to manage complexity a must  

• Experience leading in a multi-national environment preferred  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Partner with business leadership teams and business sponsors to ensure that due diligence for DePuy Synthes Middle East and Africa region is conducted as per HCC program to effectively prevent and/or detect violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct 

• Lead the Samples management capability for MEA DePuy Synthes sector (including development and maintenance of relevant systems) 

• Ensure appropriate standard operations procedures are implemented in compliance critical areas (pricing, tendering, distributors management & other) 

• Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance on Due Diligence and HCC-related updates/activities as needed 

• Lead the reconciliation of documents for high-risk activities 

• Ensure all TPI Due Diligence for MEA is completed and valid as per EMEA Business Practice guidelines  

• Provide business sponsors with regular reports on Due Diligence renewal and mid-term certification timelines to ensure it is completed as per relevant due date to ensure business continuity 

• Conduct Due Diligence training for MEA business sponsors; maintain Due Diligence training records, and valid TPI Inventory for MEA 

• Participate in Compliance Committee meetings as required  

• Support the business and compliance team during audits/monitoring activities related to DD compliance matters  

• Participate & Support in projects linked to Management Action Plans to assure enhancement of business compliance 

• Coordinate and work closely with the EMEA Third Party Ethics and Compliance (TPEC) team  

• Support the audit team and be the main point of contact with TPIs in case of any TPI audit  

• Support the end-to-end life cycle management of TPIs in MEA 

• In cooperation with the HCCOs support the monitoring of TPI compensation in MEA 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:  

• BA/BS, advanced degree or equivalent preferred 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries with appropriate business experience 

• Prior experience in project management preferred 

• Supervising people experiences is preferred 

• Experience in Health Care Compliance preferred 

• Understands and masters the DePuy Synthes culture.  

• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards for Middle East is a plus.  

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:  

• Deals well with ambiguity and demonstrates strong organizational, process and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business and effective negotiating skills are essential. 

• Ability to comprehend and interpret legal documents would be an advantage.
