GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The CEL Coordinator is the primary operational and programme activation lead responsible for ensuring that CEL is continuously utilised, programmes are innovatively developed, effectively marketed, fully subscribed, and delivered with precision.
Reporting to the CEL Director, this role translates CEL’s strategic intent into daily operational excellence, programme growth, stakeholder engagement, and sustained utilisation.
The Coordinator is not merely an organiser of schedules, but the driving force that ensures CEL remains vibrant, relevant, visible, and in constant operational motion.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
1. Programme Development, Coordination & Delivery
Proactively identify training needs across KPJ hospitals and translate them into new CEL programmes and workshops.
Coordinate end-to-end delivery of CEL programmes including:
Simulation sessions
Clinical procedures workshops
Emergency and life support courses
Advanced, specialty, and theragnostic training modules
Develop, manage, and optimise the CEL master training calendar to ensure maximum utilisation of facilities and faculty time.
Ensure programmes are delivered according to approved curricula, SOPs, and accreditation requirements.
Serve as the principal operational contact for participants, trainers, and partners.
Support the CEL Director in curriculum development and programme innovation.
2. Faculty, Hospital & Stakeholder Engagement
Actively engage KPJ hospital departments, consultants, nurse leaders, and allied health leads to generate demand for CEL programmes.
Coordinate closely with:
CEL Director
Clinical faculty and subject matter experts
Simulation Technologists
KPJ hospital specialty leads
KPJ University and FHI teams
Manage faculty scheduling, onboarding, credential documentation, and engagement.
Facilitate clinician involvement in programme design and delivery.
3. Simulation & Facility Operations Orchestration
Work closely with Simulation Technologists to ensure readiness of: Simulation rooms and task trainers, Manikins, consumables, and equipment and AV systems and VR/AR platforms
Coordinate room utilisation, session turnaround, and operational flow.
Oversee learner registration, briefing logistics, and session flow.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and equipment handling protocols.
4. Marketing, Visibility & Programme Utilisation
Promote CEL programmes internally across KPJ hospitals and externally to partners.
Ensure courses are well publicised, optimally subscribed, and scheduled based on demand patterns.
Develop communication materials, programme briefs, and participant information packs.
Track participation trends and propose new offerings to increase utilisation.
Contribute to positioning CEL as a recognised training hub within and beyond KPJ.
5. Quality, Accreditation & Documentation
Support compliance with SSH, INACSL, AHA, CME/CPD and other relevant standards.
Maintain accurate documentation for:
Course approvals
Attendance and certification records
Faculty credentials
Programme evaluations and feedback
Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Administrative, Financial & Operational Management
Manage participant registration, communications, certification issuance, and feedback processes.
Track inventory, consumables, and training materials.
Provide inputs for budgeting, utilisation tracking, and operational reporting.
Prepare monthly and annual CEL activity reports.
7. Integration within the FHI Ecosystem
Support alignment of CEL programmes with:
Command Centre insights (patient safety trends and system gaps)
Research & Innovation Centre for simulation-based research
Centre for Digital Health for VR/AR and AI-enabled training tools
Contribute to CEL as a system-embedded platform for workforce readiness and patient safety.
JOB REQUIREMENT :
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, education, allied health, science, management, or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in:
Healthcare education or simulation centres
Clinical training coordination
Hospital or academic programme administration
Demonstrated experience working with clinicians, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with simulation-based education environments is advantageous.
