Job description

Epworth HealthCare (Epworth) seeks casual Personal Care Associate's to join our high performing and highly valued Central Resource Unit (CRU).

The CRU provides a flexible workforce to support Epworth clinical units, giving you the opportunity to implement your skills and knowledge while working with clinical nursing staff across a variety of sites and clinical settings within Epworth Health. We are seeking candidates who can work across Epworth sites at Richmond, East Melbourne, Box Hill, Hawthorn, and Camberwell and across a variety of shift times including days, nights and weekends, sometimes with short notice.

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Providing high standards of care through common responsibilities such as but not limited to;
    • Pressure care
    • Assisting with ambulating patients
    • Assist patients with personal care and hygiene as directed
    • Bed making
    • Constant Patient Observation - CPO
  • Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients, families and medical staff

To be successful in this role, you will…

  • Have previous experience working in a clinical setting, ideally within a hospital
  • Have Australian working rights
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Be teachable and have a willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Enjoy the challenge of working flexibly within a team environment.
  • Possess a strong understanding and background of patient-centred care
  • Have the ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Have well-developed time management and prioritisation skills 

 

 

You will bring:

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • Possess a current Working with Children Check (Employee)
