Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and modern analytics and AI-driven data solutions. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and reporting solutions that support business intelligence, operational analytics, and AI usage tracking.
You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to integrate data from multiple sources, including AI platforms such as OpenAI and Claude APIs, while ensuring reliable storage, transformation, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering expertise with a solid understanding of reporting platforms and API-driven integrations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows within Google Cloud Platform environments.
Build and optimize data solutions using BigQuery for large-scale analytics and reporting.
Integrate and process data from external APIs, including OpenAI and Claude APIs.
Develop solutions to track and analyze AI token usage, consumption metrics, and related operational data.
Design and maintain reliable data storage and collection processes for structured and semi-structured datasets.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and support analytics initiatives.
Support and optimize reporting solutions using modern BI tools.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across reporting and analytics workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, reporting, and integration issues.
Document technical solutions, data flows, and operational processes to support maintainability and scalability.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Advanced experience working with BigQuery for analytics and data processing.
Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting solutions using Looker and/or Microsoft Power BI.
Experience integrating and working with external APIs, including OpenAI APIs, Claude APIs, or similar AI platforms.
Understanding of AI token usage tracking, API consumption monitoring, and related operational metrics.
Strong experience with data collection, storage, and transformation processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.

Familiarity with cost optimization and monitoring for cloud-based data platforms.
