Job description
You will be part of the DER Operations and Metering Solutions team - the domain expert of BAU operations of Hot Water Control and Power Quality Data services. As the DER Operations Coordinator, you provide support to the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) & Metering Solutions team to co-develop, operate, and support regulated and non-regulated Value-Added Services.
You’ll focus on day-to-day operational performance of hot water control and power quality services across AU & NZ - monitoring outputs, identifying issues, and driving resolution.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor and support day-to-day operations of Hot Water Control services and Power Quality Data delivery across AU & NZ, ensuring successful activation and service performance
- Track and report on KPIs and SLAs, investigating issues and driving through to resolution
- Support incident investigation and troubleshooting across service performance, systems, and processes
- Assist with customer and stakeholder communications, including responding to queries and providing updates on service issues
- Support analysis of meter fleet and service performance to identify trends, anomalies, and risks
- Assist in the rollout of new features, service improvements, and operational changes
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience
- Support the development of timely reports, documentation, and training materials
- Provide day-to-day support to the DER and Metering team on operational and product-related activities
- A tertiary qualification in a technical field such as Engineering, Science, or Mathematics (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in distributed energy resources or smart metering environments is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, combining technical understanding with business awareness, and a solid grasp of the Australian energy market.
- High attention to detail, with experience maintaining data accuracy and reliability through quality checks.
- Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and risks to support timely issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Clear communication skills, able to interpret and explain insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
