Cloud Network Engineer

About the role We are building a Cloud Center of Excellence responsible for establishing and evolving the cloud foundation used across a large-scale engineering organization. This role focuses on designing scalable cloud architecture, automation, governance, and reusable platform capabilities that enable multiple engineering teams to operate efficiently and securely. What you'll do Design and implement cloud-native platform architecture on GCP ; Build scalable guardrails for multi-team, multi-environment platforms with compliance requirements; Create reusable infrastructure components enabling self-service provisioning; Define and evolve cloud governance practices, including IAM strategies, organizational policies, and policy-as-code; Collaborate across engineering teams and participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and leadership forums; Contribute to platform standards, operational excellence, and long-term cloud strategy. What we're looking for Strong hands-on experience with GCP (experience with AWS/Azure is a plus); Production-level Kubernetes experience, including networking, security, tenancy, and lifecycle management; Advanced Terraform knowledge, including module design and reusable infrastructure patterns; Solid networking fundamentals: VPC architecture, CIDR planning, DNS, and hybrid connectivity; Experience operating in compliance-driven environments (SOC2, PCI-DSS, or similar); Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and tooling; Experience with observability platforms, including metrics, structured logging, and tracing; Strong technical communication skills and ability to create and present architectural documentation.
