Senior Credit Manager, RHB Bank Berhad**

Job Summary**

The Senior Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of complex credit facilities, ensuring sound credit assessment, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team, providing expert credit advice, and contributing to the bank's overall credit strategy.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Conduct in-depth credit assessments and financial analysis for complex corporate and commercial credit applications, including syndicated loans, project financing, and structured facilities.
  • Review and approve credit proposals within delegated authority limits, ensuring adherence to credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite frameworks.
  • Develop and implement robust credit risk mitigation strategies, including collateral management, covenant structuring, and ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance. * Monitor and manage a designated loan portfolio, identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to understand client needs and provide tailored credit solutions while maintaining credit quality.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk management.
  • Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management and credit committees. * Ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and systems.

Job Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus. * Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in credit risk management within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. * Proven expertise in corporate and commercial credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment for various industries.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, lending practices, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., BNM guidelines, Basel III).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • High level of integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practices.
