As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. Position Overview The Commercial Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating commercial loan applications, assessing financial risk, and ensuring compliance with company and investor guidelines. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial lending, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review and analyze commercial mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation Assess borrower creditworthiness, financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral Perform risk analysis and make sound underwriting decisions Ensure loans meet internal policies, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines Work closely with loan officers, processors, and management throughout the loan process Prepare clear and detailed underwriting summaries and recommendations Identify potential risks and propose mitigating solutions Maintain strong communication with all parties involved in the transaction Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of commercial underwriting experience Strong understanding of commercial real estate lending and underwriting guidelines Ability to analyze complex financial documents and credit profiles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously Experience with residential mortgage underwriting is a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation Career growth opportunities Supportive and professional work environment Opportunity to work with a growing and dynamic team If you are a motivated professional with commercial underwriting experience and a passion for the mortgage industry, we would love to hear from you.
