Job description

We are looking for a commercially minded Associate or Manager to join our Corporate Development team, reporting to the Head of Corporate Development.

The Corporate Development function at Lumi is broad, offering direct exposure to multiple facets of the business: corporate finance, capital raising, M&A, debt strategy, investor relations, and strategic special projects. This role involves managing a wide variety of tasks in a fast-moving and growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities involve:

  • Capital Raising: Support equity fundraising (including a planned Series D) by preparing investor materials and managing the due diligence process.

  • Debt Strategy: Assist with debt capital initiatives, facility structuring, reporting and analysis, including public debt market transactions.

  • Financial Modeling: Maintain and develop the core corporate financial model, executing scenario analysis to support long-term strategy, along with budgeting and forecasting.

  • M&A: Support the evaluation and execution of growth, partnership and acquisition opportunities.

  • Unit Economics: Analyze product, segment, and channel unit economics to identify profitability drivers and support commercial strategy.

Reporting: Prepare clear financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors and investors.

  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in corporate development, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, strategic finance, or a closely related role in a high-performance environment. Experience within the financial services or fintech sector is highly regarded.

  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analytical capabilities, with a rigorous attention to detail.

  • Core Attributes: Highly autonomous, reliable, and accountable, with a demonstrated ability to take independent ownership of tasks within a small team and fast-paced environment.

  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to handle multiple workflows end-to-end, and communicate clearly with senior executives and external partners.

  • Education & Qualifications: Strong academic background; a CA, CFA, or relevant postgraduate qualification is considered a strong plus.
