The role

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer , you will support stakeholders and project teams in onboarding to the Azure cloud platform and guide them through their cloud adoption journey. You act as a knowledgeable advisor on the platform, the tooling, and the cloud processes, helping teams understand what's available, what's required , and how to get there successfully.
Practical Information
Location: Budapest, Hungary | Reports to: Head of Cloud Engineering | Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days/week in office) | Language Requirements : fluent/professional level of Hungarian and English
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support stakeholders and project teams through the onboarding process onto the Azure cloud platform
- Act as a knowledgeable point of contact on Azure networking, PaaS services, access governance, and policy frameworks used within the organization
- Explain and clarify standards, guardrails, and processes to teams that are new to the cloud environment
- Help teams understand available Azure services, landing zone structure, and platform conventions relevant to their use case
- Advise on Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform) and CI/CD conventions (Azure DevOps/GitHub) used within the team , sometimes writing the code yourself
- Identify gaps, risks, or blockers in a team's cloud adoption journey, and proactively flag or resolve them
- Act as a liaison between onboarding teams and the core cloud engineering team when deeper technical involvement is needed
- Maintain and improve onboarding documentation, guides, and self-service materials for the cloud platform
- Collect feedback from onboarding teams to help improve processes, tooling, and documentation over time
What we need to see from you
- 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, in an engineering, platform, or advisory capacity
- Solid working knowledge of Azure networking concepts: VNets , NSGs, Private Endpoints, peering, VPN/ExpressRoute, and routing
- Good understanding of Azure PaaS services and how solutions are typically built around them
- Working knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure Policy
- Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform) and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub)
- Understanding of cloud governance frameworks and the Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical or less cloud-experienced stakeholders
- Proactive, patient and problem-solving character, with the ability to identify issues early and know when to escalate to specialist teams
- That`s a plus: Experience in a consulting / platform support / enablement role, familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and k nowledge of other cloud providers (GCP, AWS, OCI)
