We’re looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join our Business Banking Credit Strategy & Analytics team — a high-impact group that shapes how we assess, monitor and manage credit risk across our lending portfolios.
What you’ll do
You’ll play a key role in turning data into insights that influence how we lend. This includes:
- Analysing portfolio performance to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities
- Generating risk insights to support credit strategy and policy decisions
- Supporting the development and optimisation of credit risk strategies and lending policies
- Using data to improve credit decisioning and portfolio outcomes
- Partnering with stakeholders across Risk and the Business to provide advice and constructive challenge
- Contributing to deep dives and reviews to understand root causes and recommend improvements
- Presenting insights and recommendations clearly to support decision-making
What we’re looking for
You’re someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, risk and business decisions.
- Experience in credit risk, lending, or portfolio analytics within banking, fintech or financial services
- Exposure to business banking, SME, commercial lending, or retail credit (cards/mortgages)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience using tools such as SQL, Python, or similar to work with large datasets
- Understanding of concepts like credit strategy, risk appetite, or lending policy
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with stakeholders, including presenting insights and influencing decisions
- A proactive mindset — curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to challenge the status quo
