Position: Casual Cleaner

Location: Bundaberg

Help keep the Tom Quinn Community Hub shining!

We’re looking for a reliable, proactive Casual Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the Hub, TQ Café, pool facilities and Youth Services spaces. You’ll be part of a supportive, multi‑disciplinary team delivering services that reflect the vision, mission and values of The Salvation Army.

About the Role

You’ll ensure all internal and external areas are clean, safe and welcoming for our community. This role includes routine cleaning, responding to urgent needs and supporting the smooth operation of shared spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all users
  • Clean and sanitise all areas (toilets, showers, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.)
  • Vacuum, mop, dust and disinfect surfaces
  • Restock and maintain bathroom facilities
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and shared spaces
  • Empty bins and manage waste appropriately
  • Follow WHS procedures; report hazards and maintenance issues
  • Use and store cleaning chemicals safely
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies
  • Assist with room set‑up/pack‑down and respond to spills or urgent cleaning needs
  • Apply safe cleaning practices at all times
  • Work may include early or late shifts
  • Perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, bending)
  • Work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team

 What You Need

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in cleaning, hygiene and safe work methods
  • Knowledge of MSDS regulations and safe chemical storage
  • QLD Working with Children Check
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
  • Current Driver’s Licence
