Job description

POSITION:                       Public Safety Staffing Coordinator   

DEPARTMENT:              Public Safety  

REPORTS TO:                 Assistant Chief of Public Safety          

FLSA STATUS:                Salaried/Exempt           

Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Public Safety Staffing Coordinator for Legends Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square.  Responsible for supporting the Chief of Public Safety in achieving departmental goals, including project milestones, benchmarks, and overall operational effectiveness.  The Public Safety Staffing Coordinator will collaborate with the Public Safety Managers to identify process improvements and training opportunities and work cooperatively with other company stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule part time Event Staff and Support Staff
  • Reconcile payroll (i.e., ABI, payroll corrections, etc.)
  • Supervise clock-in procedures
  • Maintain Team Member rosters to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare all event-related documents needed for Public Safety Support Staff
  • Prepare digital roster board content
  • Inventory and allocation of floor wristbands for events
  • Inventory control of uniforms
  • Review new hire documentation for accuracy
  • Address any questions or concerns from Team Members
  • Assist in development and training of Team Member breakout sessions
  • Track. Order, and maintain equipment (i.e., radios, flashlights, wristbands, uniforms, etc.)
  • Ensure disciplinary forms, when needed in the event paperwork, complies with ASM policies and procedures
  • Ensure supervisor time/break sheets are properly filed
  • Ensure compliance of event supervisor time/break sheets for accuracy and accountability
  • Verify that all required signatures/initials are documented for break/lunch periods
  • Ensure all supervisor paperwork complies with ASM policies and procedures prior to the supervisor leaving the event
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong computer knowledge; to include but not limited to Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Must have a sense of urgency and be self-motivated
  • Goal-orientated and team player with great follow-through skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to support a team environment
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education and/or Experience        

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 -3 years’ security background, preferably in a supervisory position
  • Recruiting background preferred
  • Payroll background highly desirable
