We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Data Analyst / Product Analyst to support our data-driven decision-making across product, growth, and operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SQL, Python, data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau and Looker ML, and have a strong grasp of statistical analysis and experimentation. Familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace dynamics is essential for understanding business context and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights that drive product and business decisions.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and LookerML (preferred) to communicate data-driven insights.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large-scale datasets.
- Develop scripts in Python (or similar scripting languages) for data extraction, cleaning, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Monitor user behavior, product usage, and conversion funnels using event-based tracking tools like Mixpanel.
- Conduct A/B tests and experimentation to evaluate the impact of new features and changes.
- Apply statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and p-value analysis to validate insights.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define metrics, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use cloud-based platforms like Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery for scalable data processing and analysis.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and maintain high data accuracy and integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a data analytics or product analytics role, preferably in an e-commerce or online marketplace environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries and joins.
Strong experience with data visualization tool Tableau, Power BI, and preferably Looker (including LookerML).
- Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language for automation and analysis.
- Experience (preferred) with event-based analytics platforms like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Heap.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms like Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, etc.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and testing methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Work Schedule: PST time zone alignment (evening/night shifts for India-based resources)
- Shift Time - 8.30 PM to 5.30 AM (Only Drop Available)
- Work Model: On site Mumbai
