What You'll Do
-Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of Cisco Service Provider solutions, owning solution design, implementation, and customer acceptance across complex SP network programs.
-Act as the senior technical authority during delivery, translating high-level designs (HLDs) into low-level designs (LLDs), MOPs, and validated implementation plans.
-Bridge architecture intent and hands-on execution, guiding network consulting and automation engineers through deployment and migration.
-Serve as a technical authority in multiple technology domains, driving strategic customer engagements and leading global, highly complex initiatives with regional and industry influence.
-Lead strategic engagements with executives, guiding transformative business decisions and shaping the customer’s technical adoption journey in alignment with long-term business goals.
-Cultivate and expand high-level customer relationships and partnerships, influencing customer outcomes, bringing in new customers, and strengthening key relationships.
-Oversee the design and delivery of global, scalable solutions to meet evolving customer needs, anticipate innovation, and guide complex transformations and strategic roadmaps.
-Champion documentation excellence by setting organizational standards for content quality, visual design, and stakeholder alignment.
-Lead research and integration of advanced AI and automation technologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery outcomes, ensuring AI-informed work is accurate, ethical, and impactful.
-Lead strategic technical discussions across stakeholders, share Cisco’s product roadmap by integrating customer feedback and market insights, and develop differentiated solutions that drive long-term business value.
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years in SP network delivery/consulting, with significant time in a senior design or architect capacity.
CCIE (Service Provider or Enterprise Infrastructure) strongly preferred; CCNP SP minimum.
Proven track record delivering large-scale SP transformation, migration, or greenfield build programs.
Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to present technical solutions to engineering and leadership audiences.
Core Technical Skills — Transport & Routing
Deep expertise in MPLS, including LDP, RSVP-TE, MPLS-TE, L2VPN/L3VPN (VPNv4/VPNv6, EVPN), and traffic engineering at SP scale.
Strong hands-on SRv6 design and deployment experience — uSID, SRv6 TE policies, flex-algo, and migration strategies from MPLS/SR-MPLS to SRv6.
Segment Routing (SR-MPLS) fundamentals: SR-TE, On-Demand Next-Hop (ODN), and SR policy automation.
Proven IGP/BGP design at scale (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP including route reflection, BGP-LU, and BGP-LS for controller integration).
Core Technical Skills — Automation & Assurance
Hands-on delivery experience with Cisco Crosswork Network Controller (CNC) — provisioning, SR-PCE integration, optimization engine, and intent-based service orchestration.
Experience with Cisco Provider Connectivity Assurance (PCA) for active/passive service assurance, SLA monitoring, and network performance validation.
Familiarity with model-driven programmability: NETCONF/YANG, gNMI/telemetry, and closed-loop assurance workflows.
Ability to integrate controllers and assurance platforms into customer OSS/BSS and broader automation pipelines.
Core Technical Skills — Platforms
Strong working knowledge of Cisco SP platforms: NCS 540/5500/5700, ASR 9000, and 8000 Series (IOS XR).
Experience with Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and large-scale device migration/onboarding.
Data Center (Optional, good to have)
Working knowledge of Data Center fabrics: Cisco ACI and/or NX-OS (Nexus 9000), VXLAN/EVPN, and spine-leaf design.
Understanding of DC-to-WAN interconnect, DCI, and the convergence of SP transport with data center networking.
Delivery & Execution Skills
Own technical delivery quality across the project lifecycle: design validation, lab/PoC, staging, migration, cutover, and operational handover.
Produce and review delivery artifacts — HLD/LLD, MOPs, NIPs, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
Lead network migrations and cutovers with rollback planning, risk assessment, and minimal-impact change execution.
Mentor and technically guide network consulting and automation engineers during delivery.
Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues during deployment and stabilization.
