Job description

Position Summary

The Business Analyst supports the FFP IT PMO by analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance the client experience and operational efficiency. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping to ensure clear communication, well-defined requirements, and alignment on project goals

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with wealth management stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Internal analysis for refining data delivery, integration and reporting in Asana, Snowflake, and Power BI.
  • Assess current processes, workflows, and data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
  • Develop business cases, process maps, and functional specifications to support effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and support successful implementation.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, validate system changes, and confirm that deliverables meet business needs and expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare status updates, and communicate key developments to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support change-management activities, including training and documentation, to promote adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in wealth management and business analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in business analysis, preferably within wealth management, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and project delivery tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting large, enterprise-wide technology initiatives such as ERP implementations, cloud migrations, or digital transformation programs.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Two or more years of business analysis experience, ideally in wealth management, financial services, or investment-related environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and business scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Excel, SharePoint, Snowflake, and Power BI, along with knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Asana and a strong working knowledge of the platform are important.
  • Knowledge of wealth management products, services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Work Environment

  • This role will be based in a hybrid setting. Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder meetings and project delivery.

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $65,000–$90,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
