The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager - MRB to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO!
The manager will own Quality Material Review Board (MRB) activities, oversee nonconformance handling, and act as the primary liaison with our DCMA customer.
Responsibilities will also include support of proprietary programs at Boeing St Louis.
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Position responsibilities:
Supervise and coach union employees, apply collective bargaining agreements consistently, and document performance actions while fostering a safety- and quality-first culture.
Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
Lead Quality MRB processes for nonconforming material, manage tag processing and disposition decisions (repair, rework, use-as-is, scrap), and ensure timely closure of nonconformance records (NCRs).
Coordinate directly with DCMA and other customers during audits, notifications, and corrective action (CAPA) implementation; maintain contract and regulatory compliance.
Drive continuous improvement of quality processes, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions to reduce recurrence of nonconformances.
Maintain traceability, records, and reporting aligned with AS9100/FAA requirements and internal quality systems.
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
More than 3 years of experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) processes
More than 5 years of experience working in production and/or manufacturing environment
More than 3 years of experience in Nonconformance Processing
Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience serving as a coach and/or mentor to others
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
Commercial derivative or military aircraft maintenance experience
