Position Location This position will be located onsite in Gulfport, Mississippi. Job Overview Technology powers opportunity and at Gulfport Job Corps Center, we’re seeking an experienced and solutions-driven Information Technology (IT) Administrator to lead the systems, infrastructure, and support that keep our center connected, secure, and operating at its best. The pay for this position is $45,000/year. Because this is a fixed contract, we are unable to negotiate the salary at this time. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: As the IT / MIS Manager, you’ll oversee the center’s network infrastructure, systems administration, technical support operations, and technology planning within a dynamic residential training environment by: Managing and supporting the Center’s LAN/WAN network infrastructure and systems. Ensuring system availability, reliability, security, and optimization Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, PCs, printers, scanners, network devices, and peripheral equipment. Managing Windows Server environments, backups, imaging procedures, and system integrity Providing help desk support and technical assistance to staff and students. Monitoring software licensing, updates, system currency, and technology compliance. Developing, testing, and modifying systems or programs to support operational needs. Leading systems-related project planning, performance management, and security reviews. Recommending hardware/software improvements and long-term technology solutions. Serving as the Center’s primary liaison with the DOL Job Corps Data Center (JCDC). What You Bring: Experience in systems administration, network management, or IT infrastructure support. Strong working knowledge of Windows Server systems, networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting. Experience with system imaging, backups, configuration management, and help desk support. Understanding of cybersecurity principles, system performance monitoring, and network communications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to technical issues in a 24/7 operational environment Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School diploma or GED. Two years’ experience as a Lead Network Administrator for database system support. One year of CITRIX support experience. Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting. LAN, WAN, computer hardware and software. Successfully pass any background check and/drug test required on the contract. Ability to obtain & maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
