SUMO Medical Staffing specializes in locum tenens placement for temporary and permanent positions in hospitals, private practices, government facilities, and medical centers across the United States. We are dedicated to placing the most qualified physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) in specialties such as psychiatry, internal medicine, hospitalist, family medicine, ER/urgent care, pediatrics, and many more.

Position Details:

Credentialing & Compliance Management 

  • Collect, verify, and maintain all required provider credentialing documentation, including licenses, certifications, work history, and references  

  • Ensure all providers meet internal compliance standards and client-specific requirements prior to assignment start  

  • Track and monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and other required documentation  

Coordination & Communication 

  • Partner with providers, recruiters, and client facilities to ensure all credentialing requirements are completed on time  

  • Communicate clearly and proactively regarding outstanding items, deadlines, and potential risks  

  • Serve as a central point of contact for credentialing status updates and issue resolution  

Submission & Documentation 

  • Prepare and submit complete, accurate credentialing packets to client facilities  

  • Ensure all submissions meet facility standards and timelines  

  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation throughout the credentialing process  

Systems & Data Management 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in credentialing systems and databases  

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards  

  • Utilize tracking tools and reports to monitor progress and identify potential delays  

Issue Resolution & Process Improvement 

  • Identify and proactively address credentialing issues, delays, or gaps in documentation  

  • Work cross-functionally to resolve barriers and keep assignments on track  

  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times
