About the Role:

The Team: S&P Global stands as a premier provider of ESG data for investors, corporates, and other key stakeholders. This team is critically responsible for the management of S&P Global’s proprietary database, which encompasses one of the world’s most comprehensive datasets on corporate sustainability.

Responsibilities and Impact:

•The successful candidate will be expected to achieve the following core responsibilities, contributing significantly to our global data integrity and strategic initiatives:
Process and accurately apply financial and ESG qualitative and quantitative data to the database, leveraging CSA guidance.
Execute the collection, standardization, and validation of data from diverse company and governmental sources.
Develop a strong understanding of ESG concepts, research methodologies, and market trends to deliver high-quality data analysis.
Contribute to the integrity and comprehensiveness of our datasets by utilizing internal and external research sources, synthesizing meaningful information.
Engage with global ESG analysts, providing crucial support in troubleshooting and offering input for new collection methods and product improvements.
Grow professionally within a dynamic, international team, gaining valuable insights into upcoming ESG trends and advancing with best-in-class methodology.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Financial Management, Accountancy, Economics, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field is highly desired.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to interpret various company documents such as annual reports, sustainability reports, codes of conduct, and financial statements.
Strong attention to detail, persistent approach to work, and robust research and analytical skills.
We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience, ideally 2 years, in ESG data ratings, research, or corporate sustainability, or in financial data research.
The ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to rotational shifts while maintaining a flexible schedule to meet critical deadlines.
Demonstrates a proactive and resourceful approach, actively seeking opportunities to contribute beyond direct tasks, identifying areas for improvement, and sharing insights learned.
Exhibits strong collaborative skills, actively participating in team discussions, seeking feedback, and fostering positive working relationships with peers and team members.
