Job description

C.H. Robinson is seeking an Accountant to support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information that enables informed business decisions. In this role, you will contribute to core accounting activities, including general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will partner closely with the broader accounting team and business stakeholders to ensure financial integrity, operational excellence, and adherence to accounting standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Execute day-to-day general ledger accounting operations in accordance with established procedures 

  • Prepare account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and completeness 

  • Compile and analyze financial data to support accurate recordkeeping and reporting 

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules 

  • Support the execution of internal controls to ensure compliance and protect financial integrity 

  • Partner with accounting team members and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting-related inquiries 

  • Respond to routine questions from the business and provide guidance on standard accounting processes 

  • Assist with external audit requests by gathering required documentation and supporting materials 

  • Contribute to the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reporting processes 

  • Identify and escalate issues while taking a proactive, solution-oriented approach to resolving them

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on team and business needs 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or similar systems 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems effectively

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment 

  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Compensation Range

$58,000.00 - $91,800.00

The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.  Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
