KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
RELEASE & DEPLOYMENT MANAGEMENT
- Own and govern the end-to-end release management process, including release planning, scheduling, coordination, and post-release validation.
- Manage deployment pipelines and orchestrate deployments across multiple environments (dev, staging, pre-production, production).
- Define and enforce release gates, change management procedures, and rollback strategies to ensure zero-downtime deployments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to align release cadences
- with business objectives.
DEVOPS ENGINEERING
- Support the design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Champion DevOps best practices including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, observability, and shift-left testing.
- Drive continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, and performance through automation and tooling.
- Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT – INFRASTRUCTURE & NETWORKING
- Lead and manage complex infrastructure and networking projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.
- Define project scope, milestones, resource plans, risk registers, and stakeholder communication plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including network engineers, cloud architects, security, and application teams.
- Provide regular project status reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
STAKEHOLDER & TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION
- Serve as the primary communication bridge between technical infrastructure teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver structured project status updates, risk assessments, and milestone reports tailored to executive, management, and engineering audiences.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment meetings, sprint reviews, and architecture review boards to ensure all parties are informed and aligned.
- Develop and maintain communication artifacts including status dashboards, RACI matrices, escalation paths, and decision logs.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks, blockers, and dependencies with recommended mitigation strategies.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT – PRE-PRODUCTION TESTING
- Serve as the primary technical liaison and support escalation point for QA and testing teams operating in pre-production environments.
- Troubleshoot environment-level issues impacting test execution and coordinate rapid resolution with infrastructure teams.
- Ensure pre-production environments are stable, up-to-date, and representative of production configurations.
GCP INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT & ARCHITECTURE
- Architect, design, and document scalable, secure, and cost-optimized GCP infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead GCP architecture reviews, producing architecture diagrams, ADRs, and technical design documents for infrastructure initiatives.
- Provision and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform as the primary IaC tool.
- Design and implement GCP networking topologies including VPCs, Shared VPCs, VPNs, Cloud Interconnect, DNS, and load balancing configurations.
- Optimize GCP resource utilization, cost efficiency, and security posture.
- Implement and enforce cloud governance policies, IAM controls, and network security configurations on GCP.
- Evaluate and recommend GCP-native services and architectural patterns to improve platform resilience, observability, and developer experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing releases and deployments in large-scale environments.
- Strong project management skills (PMP or equivalent is an asset).
- Understanding of GCP cloud architectures, including multi-region, high-availability, and disaster recovery patterns.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and GCP services.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build).
- Exceptional communication skills for both executive and engineering audiences.
- Experience supporting QA/testing teams in pre-production environment management.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and stakeholder-facing reports.
