Job description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with 8–9 years of experience in designing, executing, and maintaining electrical systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable system performance, regulatory compliance, and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems
  • Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical layouts
  • Select appropriate electrical equipment such as transformers, panels, DG sets, UPS systems, and cables
  • Ensure compliance with IS standards, NEC/NBC guidelines, and local electrical codes

Project Execution

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Review drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications

Operations & Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure quick resolution
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
  • Ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Maintain documentation including reports, drawings, and compliance certificates

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and power distribution
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, or similar electrical design tools
  • Experience in load calculations, cable sizing, and fault analysis
  • Understanding of HT/LT systems, switchgear, and protection systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong project management and coordination abilities
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Relevant certifications (Electrical Safety, Power Systems, etc.) preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in large-scale projects (commercial buildings, industrial plants, infrastructure projects, or data centers)
  • Exposure to energy-efficient systems and renewable energy (solar, etc.)
  • Experience in liaising with electrical boards and regulatory authorities
