Senior Accountant (Lithuania)

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support ZEN.COM UAB in Lithuania. This is a critical role for ensuring full compliance with Lithuanian accounting and tax regulations while maintaining accurate and timely financial records. Requirements: Qualifications & Experience Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax law, especially VAT and corporate income tax Experience collaborating with Lithuanian tax advisors or regulators Prior experience in fintech, banking, or electronic money institutions is preferred Technical proficiency, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Fluent in English (spoken and written) Records for continuous studies and training Soft Skills Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Timely, meticulous, and proactive in problem-solving A team player who can also work independently Willingness to learn and take initiative

Responsibilities: Technical & Compliance Accounting Contribute to the areas of client funds accounting and effective internal controls Handle technical accounting for ZEN.COM UAB Ensure compliance with Lithuanian VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory obligations Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate tax treatment and filings Accounts Payable & Receivable Manage AP/AR entries, accruals, prepayments, and related documentation Process and reconcile invoices and bank statements Maintain accurate client bank records Payment Data & Reconciliations Work with the Settlement department to gather PSP transaction data Process, verify, and systematize PSP data Reconcile general ledger and client accounts Month-End & Reporting Participate in month-end closings and accounting adjustments Participate in the regulatory reporting to the Bank of Lithuania Prepare financial and management reports Archive and verify accounting documents General Accounting Support Assist with tax calculations and ensure compliance with local law Run monthly payroll Optimize workflows and maintain accounting documentation standard
