What We Offer Provides diabetes education, information and training to patients, family, staff and community that responds to individualized needs in accordance with the current policies and procedures. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition or related science.; registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration; licensed by the state of North Carolina to practice dietetics, required. Experience: Two years experience as RD in diabetes or related field, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) , preferred. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 If non CDCES, 15 diabetes credit hrs annually, required. Registered Dietitian status by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, required. Licensed Dietitian in the State of NC, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge, ability and skills to support diabetes education to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavioral needs among the patients being served. Why Choose Novant Health?
