Position Overview

As part of Solenis’ continued growth, we are seeking a Quality Manager for our manufacturing unit-based role.

Job Title -   Quality Manager – Manufacturing Unit

Department - Quality (QA / QC)

Reports To - Head Quality - India

Location - Nalagarh, HP

Role Purpose

To ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance by maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain QMS as per applicable standards (ISO / GMP / industry-specific).

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.

  • Oversee in-process and finished product quality; approve release decisions.

  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external/customer audits.

  • Manage deviations, non-conformances, CAPA, and root cause analysis.

  • Handle customer complaints and ensure timely investigation and closure.

  • Monitor supplier quality and incoming material controls.

  • Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and records.

  • Lead, train, and develop the QA/QC team.

  • Drive quality KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key KPIs

  • Customer complaints & rejection rate

  • Audit outcomes & CAPA closure effectiveness

  • Compliance status

  • Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

  • FG, RM, PM - RFT

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science (Master’s preferred).

  • 7–12 years of quality experience in manufacturing.

  • 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of QMS, audits, CAPA, and RCA tools.

  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in documentation and quality systems.

Authority

  • Approve or reject materials and finished products.

  • Stop production in case of critical quality or compliance risks.

  • Recommend system and process improvements.
