Department Overview We lead the creation of customer touchpoints and business growth through real-world channels, with a core focus on Rakuten Mobile shop operations. Our stores are not merely points for contract acquisition; they serve as the "front line of customer engagement" that provides cross-sectional access to Rakuten Group services including telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce playing a vital role in supporting the brand experience. Within the Area Business Promotion Department, the Partner Shop Strategy Section is responsible for strategy design and execution, aimed at expanding sales channels and maximizing the performance of existing partners. The Sales Strategy team, in particular, drives an end-to-end process based on market data and sales performance analysis, ranging from channel-specific strategy formulation and KPI design to the optimization of sales tools. Our role is to maximize the productivity of the sales organization and drive business growth through the pilot implementation of new initiatives and the preparation of reports for executive management. With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, we need to strengthen our structure for channel-specific strategy design and sales productivity improvement. As stores serve as critical customer touchpoints, achieving sustainable business growth requires us to move beyond simply supporting on-site sales activities. We need to further strengthen our capabilities in strategy formulation, KPI management, and the verification of initiative effectiveness based on market, competitor, and performance data. We are therefore seeking a professional who can handle the entire process from data-driven sales strategy formulation to execution support. Position Details

In this role, you will contribute to the productivity improvement and business growth of our sales organization by formulating channel strategies, designing KPIs, and planning and promoting sales support initiatives based on the analysis of market and sales performance data.

  • Plan and propose strategies and tactics by channel based on the analysis of market, competitor, and performance data.
  • Lead the design of KPIs for the sales organization and the development and introduction of progress management systems to drive operational efficiency.
  • Plan and produce various tools and sales promotional materials to maximize sales activities, and prepare materials for executive management.
  • Build an environment where sales members can maximize their performance through the verification of new initiatives and support for their implementation in the field.

Sales Strategy Team: 2 employees (1 Manager, 1 Member) Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in sales planning, sales strategy, sales promotion, business planning, or related fields, with a proven track record of analyzing issues based on numerical data (such as sales or performance figures) and planning or supporting the execution of improvement initiatives.
  • Practical experience in data aggregation and analysis using Excel, including the ability to manage and analyze figures such as sales, KPIs, and progress reports using functions and pivot tables.
  • Experience in making improvement and initiative proposals to sales teams or relevant departments based on analysis results, including coordinating and following up on execution.
  • Experience in driving business by managing the progress of initiatives, organizing issues, and adjusting schedules while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating sales strategy documents, meeting materials, and reports using PowerPoint or similar tools, and explaining them clearly to internal stakeholders. Desired Qualifications:
  • Practical experience in sales or sales planning within retail channels, such as mass electronics retailers.
  • Experience in building data flows or automation using SQL, Python, or BI tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau).
  • Experience as a Project Manager (PM) leading cross-departmental projects or leading new initiatives from introduction through to effectiveness verification. Other Information:
