Department Overview
The President's Office is an organization that comprehensively drives business strategy, marketing strategy, and key projects for the medium- to long-term growth of the Ad & Media Company.
In this position, you will be responsible for driving strategic planning and marketing for Rakuten's marketing solutions business across the entire group. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including various business/service, sales, product, data, creative, and corporate departments, to contribute to increasing awareness, communicating value, generating leads, and driving business growth for Rakuten's unique advertising and marketing solutions.

Position Details
To drive the growth of Rakuten's marketing solutions business, you will lead the entire process from formulating marketing strategies to planning, executing, measuring results, and proposing improvements.
Main Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Planning
- Formulating marketing strategies based on market, customer, competitor, and internal data
- Planning and promoting annual and quarterly marketing plans for the marketing solutions business
- Implementing Measures
- Designing brand marketing, messaging, and positioning for advertisers and partner companies
- Product marketing, value propositioning, and sales collaboration for advertising products, data solutions, and media products
- Planning and promoting digital marketing measures, events/seminars, exhibitions, and lead generation measures
- Planning content marketing such as case studies, white papers, sales materials, web content, and email newsletters
- Stakeholder Management
- Providing marketing support for various Rakuten Group businesses and promoting cross-functional projects
- Designing key performance indicators for each measure, measuring results, reporting, and proposing improvements
- Building consensus and managing projects with management, business unit managers, sales, product, data, and creative teams

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Practical experience (8+ years) in marketing strategy planning and implementation at a business company or consulting firm.
- Experience integrating multiple marketing methods across product, brand, digital, content, and events to drive initiatives.
- Experience involving multiple departments to drive marketing initiatives from planning to effectiveness measurement.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, advertising, media, ad technology, and data utilization.
- Experience designing key performance indicators, measuring the effectiveness of initiatives, reporting, and proposing improvements.
- Strong interpersonal negotiation skills to build smooth relationships and reach consensus with various stakeholders (management, business unit managers, sales, product, data, creative, etc.).
- Project management skills that ensure QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
- Practical skills in document creation, presentations, and facilitation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Marketing experience at global tech companies (Google/Meta, etc.) or major platform companies with large customer bases (e-commerce, apps, media, etc.)
- Experience in value proposition, messaging, and sales support material creation for advertising products, data solutions, media products, and marketing platforms
- Knowledge of the media industry, advertiser marketing challenges, and the business structure of advertising agencies, media companies, and platforms
- Experience in data analysis, customer insight analysis, dashboard design, and effectiveness evaluation
- Comfortable gathering information, reading documents, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in English
