What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervise and lead the daily operations of the Fairmont Gold floor
  • Uphold Forbes and Fairmont luxury service standards while ensuring operational excellence
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment through professionalism and teamwork
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Food & Beverage teams
  • Deliver highly personalized, professional, and proactive guest service
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns efficiently and empathetically
  • Build strong guest relationships to enhance loyalty and repeat business
  • Provide expert concierge recommendations for local attractions, dining, entertainment, and transportation
  • Ensure all VIP, special occasion, and loyalty guest preferences are recognized and exceeded
  • Review arrivals, departures, reservations, and guest profiles to ensure seamless experiences
  • Maintain accuracy in billing, guest records, room assignments, and daily reporting
  • Support upselling initiatives and rate integrity to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of guest information in accordance with privacy standards
  • Utilize Opera PMS and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication
  • Ensure the Fairmont Gold lounge, guest rooms, and public areas consistently meet presentation and cleanliness standards
  • Monitor food and beverage presentation, quality, and service execution
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold hotel service standards at all times; follow all departmental policies, procedures, health, safety, sanitation, security procedures, and Leading Quality Assurance or LQA audit standards.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations and guest incidents
  • Participate in mandatory training, orientation, and ongoing development sessions to support operational excellence and compliance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of luxury hospitality or food & beverage experience with a strong service focus
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, guest services, or premium lounge operations
  • Valid Serving It Right certification
  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to manage guest communications and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Comfortable using Property Management Systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication platforms
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and data-entry accuracy skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced luxury environment
  • Professional presentation and polished communication style
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team success
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling guest information
  • Knowledge of Metro Vancouver attractions, culture, and hospitality offerings
  • Strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and service recovery principles
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and navigate stairs or ramps as required

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
