We are looking for you in Hamburg, Germany as an Associate Payloads Design Engineer for Seat Integration (M/F/D).

In this role you will:
Develop, integrate and document structural and interior (payloads) system requirements using established standards and processes to support the system design.
Perform analyses and integrate test results to verify and validate that systems and components meet requirements and specifications; escalate issues that could affect project milestones.
Evaluate supplier technical data and design solutions (e.g., seat envelope drawings, installation limitations and constraints, and interface definitions) and provide recommendations for robust, producible integration.
Contribute to the improvement of design and analysis processes and tools to increase effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Support certification activities by preparing technical data and collaborating with the Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to help ensure the aircraft cabin is delivered in the correct condition and quality.

What you bring to the table:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
2+ years of experience in Aerospace industry, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills):
Experience: You have 2+ years working within a Design or Production Organization (EASA or FAA approved) or equivalent program exposure. Current or recent appointment as a Design Review or Verification Engineer (DVE/DRE) with terms of approval relevant to the interior (payloads) discipline is advantageous but not required.
Knowledge: Demonstrated experience supporting aircraft interior design or modification programs with attention to detail. Familiarity with airworthiness requirements and standards (e.g., CS/FAR 25, ETSO/TSO) and their application to interior/payloads tasks.
Collaboration: Experience contributing to and leading technical workstreams on moderately complex projects (supporting schedule milestones, participating in resource and risk assessments, and tracking issues). Able to influence team members and suppliers, and willing to mentor less-experienced staff.
Tools: Practical experience navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards and working with common tools such as Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, IVT, and AutoCAD.
Personality: A principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety and accountability. Collaborative and transparent communicator who respects diverse perspectives and takes ownership to deliver quality results.
Flexibility: Comfortable supporting a variable work statement and flexible scheduling to accommodate stakeholder meetings across different time zones.
