Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Ad Product Specialist (known internally as Product Commercialisation Executive) to join Nine's Digital Sales team!

Sitting at the intersection of Ad Product, Operations, and Sales, this role is crucial in shaping Nine’s overall digital advertising offering. You will support the creation of profitable, compelling ad solutions across Nine’s premium digital portfolio (websites and apps) to directly drive revenue.

Reporting to the Head of Product Commercialisation, you will act as the bridge between technical product capabilities and commercial sales success.

Day to day you will:
 

  • Drive Revenue Strategy: Assist in developing and delivering commercial go-to-market strategies to maximise revenue across Nine’s digital ad suite.

  • Optimise the Ad Portfolio: Identify opportunities for inventory optimisation (e.g., viewability, high-impact formats) and enhance product capabilities like interactivity and advanced reporting.

  • Bridge the Gap Between Teams: Collaborate across Sales, Operations, and Product teams to help design, define, and roll out new ad products - including establishing workflows, commercial rules, and internal training.

  • Empower the Sales Team: Create compelling go-to-market collateral, sales stories, and packaging. Act as the day-to-day expert and point person for Sales inquiries.

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, emerging trends, and competitor offerings to provide actionable insights that shape our future product roadmap.

  • Client & Vendor Collaboration: Assist in facilitating external discovery workshops with agencies and clients to inform our product roadmap, and help manage relationships with leading ad tech vendors.
     

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:
 

  • Digital Media Experience: Proven experience in a commercial, ad operations, or sales enablement role within digital media, with a solid understanding of the publishing and/or video (BVOD) advertising markets.

  • Commercial Storytelling: Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ad products into compelling commercial sales stories.

  • Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills with an understanding of digital metrics (yield, viewability, impressions).

  • The Right Mindset: You don't need a heavy technical engineering background - what you do need is a sharp commercial mindset, a passion for digital advertising, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
