Job Description:

AdventHealth will bring a 60-acre health and wellness campus to Lake Nona in late 2026. This location will offer medical innovations on a campus designed around whole person health with comprehensive services, destination lifestyle programs, and much more that will shape the next generation of health care.

We are proud to be a part of the growing Lake Nona community with an established comprehensive network of care. Our services include emergency services, urgent care, a wide range of medical specialists (including primary care), lab, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Schedule: Full-time, Days, 40 hours per week

Location: 10999 Narcoossee Rd., Orlando, FL 32832

The value you'll bring to the team:

  • Assists anesthesia providers with patient assessment, monitoring, transporting, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management. 

  • Maintains and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment malfunctions. Ensures necessary equipment and supply inventory remain in stock.

  • Provides routine and emergency services for anesthesiologists. Assists with schedule preparations, including emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia.

  • Assists anesthesia professional staff with preparation and draping of patients for invasive monitoring/procedures and anticipates needs for invasive monitor insertion and procedures.

  • Sets up operating room for cases, including preparation of laryngoscope, intubation equipment, IV solution, tubing set-up, and IV warming devices.

  • Provides peri-operative technical support to the anesthesia professional staff for delivery of patient care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals (Required)

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry (Required)

  • Knowledge and basic skills related to aseptic/ sterile technique and sterility of supplies (Required)

  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English (Required)

  • Ability to appropriately monitor dosages and use clinical equipment (Required)


Education:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Preferred)

  • Associate's degree (Preferred)

  • Technical/Vocational School (Preferred)


Field of Study:

  • Completion of an Anesthesia Technology training program (Required)


Work Experience:

  • 1+ experience as an anesthesia tech (Preferred)


Additional Information:

An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Completion of an Anesthesia Technology training program OR 1+ year experience as an anesthesia tech 


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)

  • Anesthesia Technician Certification (AT) OR Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) (Preferred)
