Position Description: We’re looking for a highly organized Production Scheduler & Fiber Materials Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations. You’ll manage production schedules, coordinate fiber and material flow, and keep inventory and data accurate so our cable manufacturing lines run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update daily production schedules, line assignments, and priorities.
Schedule tight buffer, premise, and interconnect orders using the Level 1 Scheduling Tool.
Select fiber for all product lines and ensure timely delivery to production areas.
Maintain tight buffer, WIP, and fiber inventory accuracy across SAP and scanner systems.
Upload inbound fiber shipments and prepare inventory reports for leadership.
Coordinate workflow with jacketing, stranding, and planning teams to meet MA dates.
Support material planning, including monthly fiber orders and flex ribbon needs.
Serve as the main contact for premise‑related production questions.
Act as backup for Stranding & Jacketing Scheduling and assist Cable Plant Planning.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Skills/Attributes:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers at all organizational levels
Ability to adjust plans quickly based on priorities and material availability.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop preventative actions
ERP experience (SAP preferred) and comfort working with data.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
