What We Offer Novant Health Pediatrics Mint Hill is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)! Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends or holidays The role of the Certified Medical Assistant is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do Job responsibilities include: Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) Perform clinical observations and report any concerns to medical staff Document patient information accurately in charts, including medical histories and medications Assist with administering injections as directed by providers Perform basic bloodwork and specimen collection Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records Support overall clinical workflow to ensure efficient patient care What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement. Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required. Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
