IOP Counselor (Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders) š Newark, DE š Full-Time | Primarily Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM š„ Program: Social Prescribing & Primary Care About the Role Impact Life is seeking a passionate and experienced IOP Counselor to join our Social Prescribing & Primary Care team in Newark, DE. This role is ideal for a strong group facilitator who is committed to supporting individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges through compassionate, person-centered care. The IOP Counselor will lead Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) groups, provide individual support and care coordination, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated behavioral health services. What Youāll Do Facilitate two IOP group sessions per day, three days per week Develop and deliver engaging, evidence-informed group curriculum including CBT, DBT, MI, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation Foster a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed group environment Provide individual check-ins and support client engagement and treatment planning Complete clinical documentation and treatment records in a timely manner Collaborate with clinical, medical, and social prescribing teams to coordinate whole-person care Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and program development Support a harm reduction and low-barrier approach to care Assist with intakes, screenings, and interdisciplinary care coordination as needed
Qualifications Bachelorās degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required CADC required Masterās degree and clinical licensure (LPCMH, LCSW, etc.) preferred Experience Minimum 5 years of behavioral health experience At least 3 years of substance use/addictions treatment experience Minimum 3 years of group facilitation experience, preferably in an IOP setting Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders What Weāre Looking For Strong and confident group facilitator Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Organized and able to manage both group and individual workflows Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach Commitment to harm reduction, low-barrier access, and person-centered care About Impact Life At Impact Life, we believe in compassion, connection, and kinship.
