Our team of almost 100 professionals helps build and improve digital businesses, software platforms, eCommerce stores, websites, apps, and everything in between. And they’re good at it. We're looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join Polcode as a long-term freelance partner and support our growing portfolio of digital projects. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety. One month you might be helping shape a new mobile application from scratch, another redesigning an existing eCommerce platform, improving a complex web application, or facilitating workshops that help clients clarify their business goals and product vision. We're looking for a designer who combines creativity with strong product thinking, excellent design craft, and a solid understanding of business needs . Someone who can confidently move from discovery and estimation through wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces that solve real problems. You'll work alongside experienced developers, project managers, and clients from different industries, contributing to projects at various stages of maturity - from early concepts to established products requiring redesigns, optimization, or new features. We're not looking for someone to fill fixed daily hours. Instead, we're building a long-term partnership with a designer who can support us across different projects as needs arise. The workload may vary over time and will be adjusted based on both project demand and your availability .

Get ready to: Support projects from early discovery and estimation phases through final delivery Conduct workshops and gather business requirements from stakeholders Translate client needs into effective user experiences and product concepts Design user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes Create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile products Contribute to product strategy and feature definition Participate in project estimations and design planning Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design quality throughout implementation Participate in redesign and optimization projects for existing digital products Present and justify design decisions to clients and internal teams Stay up to date with emerging design trends, tools, and best practices.

What were looking for: 3+ years of commercial UX/UI design experience Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX and UI expertise Experience designing eCommerce platforms, mobile applications, and digital products (ideally across most of these areas) Experience working on both greenfield projects and redesign initiatives Ability to independently lead the design process from concept to delivery Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and usability Excellent visual design skills and strong aesthetic judgment Creativity supported by strong design fundamentals and attention to detail Ability to adapt your design approach to different products, industries, and user needs Ability to balance modern design trends with practical business and user requirements Experience creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs Ability to conduct discovery sessions and gather requirements from stakeholders Experience preparing estimates and contributing to project scoping Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools Strong communication and presentation skills Fluent English for client-facing communication.

It would be great if you also have: Experience facilitating product workshops Experience working across multiple industries and product domains Experience working closely with development teams in software houses or agencies Familiarity with AI-powered design and productivity tools Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices Experience contributing to design systems Product thinking and business-oriented mindset.
