In this role you are responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. They serve as a role model and mentor for the psychiatric techs and display a high level of knowledge regarding therapeutic interaction, milieu management, and safety behaviors. Schedule : 7am - 7pm, Day Shift, Full-Time (Shift Differential) Department : Emergency Room (ED) Location : NHRMC New Hanover Regional Medical Center What We're Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Experience : Two years in a direct care role in a behavioral healthcare setting, required. One to two years in a supervisory/managerial role, preferred. Licensure/Certification : NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Additional Skills (preferred) : Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care philosophy and ability to care for patients utilizing a trauma informed approach. Ability to perform all CPI physical holds.
