Job description
- Design, define, and govern enterprise-level ICT architectures across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Lead the design and implementation of core ICT systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and industry best practices.
- Define architecture standards across design, development, quality, and testing processes to ensure consistency and scalability of solutions.
- Design and communicate end-to-end system architectures, including interoperability, integration patterns, and interfaces between systems across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Elicit and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements, translating them into robust architectural designs.
- Map business goals, system capabilities, and project priorities into scalable and secure ICT solutions.
- Assess existing systems, identify improvement opportunities, and propose optimized architecture solutions.
- Lead the architecture lifecycle management, including maintaining architectural artifacts, baseline definitions, and technology catalogs.
- Estimate and size software development efforts related to enterprise ICT systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to support system design, quality assurance, and change management processes.
- Lead and guide technical teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Select and evaluate technologies and platforms in line with enterprise strategy.
- Collect and analyze system performance and usage metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Optimize systems with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture repositories and governance frameworks.
Education & Certifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
At least two of the following certifications (or equivalent):
- VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
- Iasa Certified IT Architect (CITA-A)
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 8 years of IT relevant professional experience
- Minimum 5 years experience at similar position
- Proven experience as a key architect in at least two enterprise-wide ICT system migrations or core system deployments.
- Expert-level experience in hybrid architecture design, covering both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong expertise in designing enterprise-grade ICT systems and integration platforms, including capacity and security planning.
- Solid understanding of:
- Identity Management and Active Directory / Entra ID
- Microsoft System Center ecosystem
- Databases and application servers
- Monitoring tools for systems and applications
- Middleware and integration solutions
- Modern workplace technologies
- Cloud integration patterns and cloud migration frameworks
- Systems integration and software/asset management
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
- Proficiency in system modeling using UML and enterprise architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect or similar.
- Understanding of ICT process design aligned with ITIL v4 practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Experience with ArchiMate modeling is considered an asset.
- Experience designing, configuring, or maintaining Azure or AWS Landing Zones is considered an asset.
