As part of our growing operations, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Licensing Engineer to join our team in Piraeus. The role is responsible for supporting and monitoring environmental permitting procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical and licensing support across the company’s projects and facilities. Role Overview The Senior Environmental Licensing Engineer contributes to the effective management and monitoring of environmental permitting procedures for the company’s projects and facilities, ensuring compliance with the applicable environmental and regulatory framework. The role supports operational departments by providing technical and regulatory guidance and ensuring the timely and proper implementation of licensing requirements to safeguard operational continuity and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities Environmental Licensing & Compliance Support the management and monitoring of environmental permitting procedures for company projects and facilities Collect, review, and organize supporting documentation and technical data for submissions to public authorities Prepare applications, technical dossiers, studies, and other licensing-related documentation Monitor environmental terms and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance Identify licensing risks, deviations, or delays and implement corrective actions Technical Support & Site Monitoring Conduct site visits and prepare technical compliance reports and red flag reports Provide technical and regulatory support on environmental legislation and waste management matters Support the continuous improvement of licensing and environmental compliance processes Coordination & Stakeholder Communication Collaborate with internal departments (Projects, Tenders, Waste, Legal, HSQE, etc.) to support projects and licensing procedures Communicate and coordinate with public authorities, external partners, and consultants

Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience in environmental and operational permitting of projects and facilities, preferably in the waste management sector Experience in facility licensing and compliance procedures Excellent knowledge of Greek environmental and licensing legislation Academic Background & Qualifications Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or another relevant discipline (BSc and/or MSc) Languages & Technical Capabilities Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite Good knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS Valid driving license and willingness to travel for site visits Skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication skills Teamwork and stakeholder management capabilities
