. JOB PURPOSE
To provide technical expertise and support to the Manager, Technology Portfolio Management & Strategy. Provide expertise and ensure strong and well-executed financial and business analysis reports for the Upstream Technology & Innovation center.
Lead the Team’s work in assessing all investable opportunities, whether internally generated or external approaches. Build a standardised methodology and workflow using best practice and internationally recognised approaches to evaluate, risk-assess and quantify the probabilistic costs and returns from all Upstream investment opportunities.
Support the Portfolio Management & Strategy team, as well as the leadership in UTIC to develop and quantify the pipeline of investable opportunities; and actively engage with the UAE National business community to seek relevant technology or AI-based leads. Support leadership presentations and reviews in bringing forward compelling business cases to the Upstream leadership.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Develop the financial modelling and the management tools to build, assess and then manage an investment portfolio with a strong theme of technology and innovation – specifically related to ADNOC Upstream core businesses
- Apply economic modeling, statistical methods to business data and value projections, leveraging Monte Carlo analyses, time series analysis, financial econometrics, and micro/macro econometrics.
- Identify and develop opportunities and investable business leads which will extract compelling trends and business needs; and help the UTICV leadership team to streamline decision-making processes in a rapidly changing work environment, including reducing operational costs across ADNOC Group Companies.
- Lead the development of an integrated digital platform that captures and compares the most relevant and critical data sources for investment prospects, to support the assessment of Technology and innovation related investments, to optimize the company’s return.
- Build PowerPoint and other materials to support leadership presentations and reviews in bringing forward compelling business cases to the Upstream leadership.
- Demonstrate familiarity and competence with AI-native approaches to financial analysis and modelling.
- Always ensure the confidentiality of financial and business critical data is maintained for every project.

- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparing the Function budgets, assist in implementing the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Function policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achieving the approved Performance Objectives for the Function in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes for investment assessment, de-risking and opportunity ranking.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and the ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Presentations, investment and progress reports for Company Management.

- Frequent contact with ADNOC Directorates, Group Companies.

- Frequent contact with External Service Providers, Consultants etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Finance and Economics or equivalent
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in economics, analytics, finance and related field with strong track record in investment direction and performance (returns)
