The Challenge
THE CHALLENGE
The Financial Analyst - AC NPI reports to the Product Finance Director – Air Conditioning. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of Air Conditioning new product introduction (NPI) financials with a combined gross revenue of ~$700MM across two microenterprises. In addition, it provides key financial support in strategic planning and forecasting including annual 3-5 year long range plan, annual operating budget and monthly short range forecast.
What you will Do
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead financial analysis related t o new product introduction (NPI ) programs for air conditioning products that include Window and Portable AC , Purifiers, Dehumidifiers , and Built-In/TTW (Through the Wall) primarily sold through Retail Channel and Ductless, PTAC, Vertical, and RV AC primarily sold through Distributors in Air & Water Channel . Analysis includes cost/benefit and payback calculations and future business c ommercial and cost financial impact.
- Serve as key finance person in interaction with cross-functional program teams, including indi viduals from Technology, Product Management , and other Finance functions in setting standard costs and tracking actual costs post launch . Frequent communication with multiple program managers is essential . Will also lead with Commercial Directors industry and competitor analysis to validate potential outcomes for volume and price.
- Lead role for measuring all program benefits and spending to achieve financial commitments. Develop and utilize risk management tools and concepts to ensure flawless execution of programs.
- Lead all financial preparation and presentations during monthly formal program tollgate reviews including Financial, Marketing, and Program reviews . Drive accountability for variances to plan and delays in program execution .
- L ead mon thly NPI tracking and reporting analysis post launch including orders, sales, margin , implementation costs , and other NPI scorecard measurements
- Provide additional support of Programs including Technology, Quality and Supply Chain (other elements of R&D)
- Provide detailed NPI program financials including volume, sales, and profit margin metrics
- Work with Technology and Product Management team s to roll up multi-year NPI spend budget (R&D)
- Complete monthly NPI investment and expense forecast and variance analysis
- Own monthly closing and quarterly account reconciliation requirement for Air Conditioning products
- Provide ME team’s with regular sales and financial visibility through recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
What you need to Succeed
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ Finance experience.
