Copywriter - 6 month FTC

It’s never been busier for our team’s creative studio — sport never rests, and gaming continues to grow. The way in which our products and services are consumed continues to change, so we’re adapting all the time to make sure we are leading that change. It’s our job to put the words and pictures to some of the biggest brands in the business, like Sky Bet and Sky Vegas, to entertain millions of players.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Copywriter on a 6 month FTC. You will report into the Lead Copywriter, working as part of a small, highly creative and friendly team but will also have the support of the wider studio. You’ll get fantastic opportunities to work on high-profile and varied campaigns to support every area of the business.

This will be an ideal role for a talented Copywriter looking for their next challenge.

Responsibilities of the role...

You will write attention-grabbing and meaningful short form copy that sells a concept, product or service clearly and with a level of excitement our customers and colleagues expect.

You’ll understand what needs to be said, in which channels, and work with wider teams and stakeholders to get the messaging perfect.

Our online Brand Hub holds everything you could wish to know about our brands, including their visual identities and tones of voice. You’ll have access to Zoom, Slack and Microsoft Teams so you can communicate with your colleagues effectively, and work remotely — while we’ll soon be opening the doors to our fantastic new head office in Leeds city centre.

All our campaigns and projects need names, titles, headlines, sub-headers, supporting copy and, on occasions, video scripts, to explain them in a compliant and entertaining way — sometimes to word (and even character) limits. And always to deadlines!

You will have a passion for writing and will have experience of short form copy and will understand the power and versatility of language to create moments of excitement.

You don’t need to be a sports or betting fan to work here; just an analytical eye, a healthy dose of playfulness and, of course, a willingness to learn! And we’ll back you all the way.

You’ll be an excellent communicator and you’ll know how to translate complex ideas in super simple ways.
