Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is a “Customer-in” solutioning role responsible for understanding the full technical and data/analytics landscape of the Account in order to translate customer needs and imperatives into potential opportunities for Equifax.

What you’ll do

•

Consultative approach to evaluating work flows and mitigating risk while keeping abreast of industry standards

•

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

•

Work closely with pre-sales and sales resources to assess risk and recommend solutions that will solve customer problems

•

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in data or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

•

Ability to understand and discuss complex technical topics with internal and external stakeholders

•

Ability to make effective and knowledgeable presentations on company data and products to client and/or prospect management, groups, and/or boards of directors

•

Travel expectations coinciding with local and national guidance on safety

What experience you need

•

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•

3+ years of experience working in a technical environment working and manipulating data

•

3+ years of experience working in a consultative sales position

Past experience with lead acquisition, call center operations, and vendor integration

Experience in fintech, specialty financing, and subprime and alternative lending
