The Staff Test Development Engineer will be responsible for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware design & software development and manufacturing implementation of production test solutions for high precision data converter products. There will be active involvement with the Marketing, Product, Design and Applications Engineering as well as the World-Wide Manufacturing teams. This Test Development Engineering candidate should have an understanding of Data converter’s theory such as INL, DNL, THD, SNR etc.

The specific job duties will consist of most or all of the following:

  • Design (individually and/or as part of a team) software and hardware to characterize and production test of state-of-the-art ICs
  • Design and debug of automated test system hardware and software for IC products
  • Develop detailed test plans for high performance IC devices on ATE systems
  • Coordinate new product development from the design stage through product release and implement the manufacturing release of the ATE solution for these products
  • Create test development schedules and characterization plans for prototype evaluation and product release as well as provide input on new product development
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams from the product line, Global Operations and the quality organization to release reliable and manufacturable products to manufacturing on schedule and budget
  • Support production sustaining activities for converter products

Candidate must have solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements

  • Industry level experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools preferred
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in ATE ( UltraFlex/MicorFlex/Teredyne / NI STS ) testing. Working knowledge of ATE is critical to this role.
  • BSEE or MSEE
  • Understanding of analog circuit fundamentals
  • Strong programming skills
  • Strong debug and data analysis skills
