Job description

As a Process Improvement Engineer in the Space Products group, you will be responsible for conducting data analysis to improve processes, providing engineering support of processes and disposition of material, and managing and driving continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

  • Troubleshooting Process and Equipment manufacturing issues and implementing robust corrective actions
  • Disposition of production materials on hold and taking action to troubleshoot process and equipment issues for predicable operations.
  • Working with development engineering to implement new processes to support new product integration.
  • Focusing on improving processes and product quality, yield, cost, and performance in the manufacturing assembly area for microelectronic components.
  • Assist with the qualification of new tools for production.
  • Support production radiation test

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering required
  • Strong physics and material science background preferred
  • Prefer candidate to have experience in electronics assembly and manufacturing processes of wirebonding, die attach, lead forming, and surface mount technologies
  • Coursework in statistics and experience with data analysis tools
  • Experience with Automate Test Equipment and programming preferred
  • Strong debug and data analysis skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams; customers; internal and external partners.
  • Highly motivated and is passionate about the job.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills are a must as well as being an independent worker
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
