Business Analyst Specialist

Reporting to the IT Project Management Expert, you'll support the delivery of IT and Business initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and diverse global technology teams, including ERP, Infrastructure, Security, and Custom Solution team; to translate business needs into effective technology solutions. You will focus on understanding and articulating business objectives, defining high‑level requirements, supporting initiative prioritization, aligning stakeholder expectations, coordinate meetings and discussion. You will include project management support to help ensure solutions meet PPG's strategic goals and deliver on business requirements, quality, cost, and timeline commitments.

Responsibilities

• You'll need to communicate with all levels of management
• Excellent knowledge of PPG's products and business processes
• Understanding of the existing IT solutions used by PPG businesses
• Experience in the strategic use of technology in managing a business
• Understanding of how IT impacts an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes
• In-depth experience in helping businesses to focus and articulate a future business vision in terms of redesigned business processes and related business requirements
• Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is required, large global or regional programs, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to support business change
• Detailed knowledge of applications and technology directions and their capability to contribute to solving business problems
• Knowledge in project management methodologies and practices and execution of enterprise projects
• Collaborate within a global team & positive team spirit
• Comfortable to be in a nonhierarchical, flat organization and, if required, operate under a dual reporting relationship; ability to succeed in an unstructured hands-on environment that demands a consultative approach
• Demonstrate flexibility and to develop effective working relationships across a diverse team of functional, technical, and business partners

Qualifications

• A degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in IT, business process engineering, digital initiatives implementation, project management, or related discipline experience
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience with ERP systems is good to have. Knowledge of SAP system is beneficial
• Work with and lead both technical (IT) team members and business team members to achieve project success.
• Requires a person who has understanding of business process mapping and design.
• Analytical and problem-solving skillset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing such as White Papers or training material
• Work remotely and mostly using virtual means to collaborate with colleagues and managers
• To plan, prioritize, and complete tasks independently without requiring close supervision
• Proficient in Chinese and English language
