Description
Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Lab Hartford CT
You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens, to process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.
What will you do
•
Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
•
Labels all specimens following laboratory policy
•
Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens
Work Hours/Shift
•
24hrs, Evening Shift, 2-10:30 pm, e/o wknd, rotating holidays
Requirements
•
High School Diploma or GED
•
Completion of Phlebotomy Training Program
•
At least one year of phlebotomy experience
•
National Certification preferred
Position Hours
24 hours, rotating holidays, every other weekend, occasionally will have to work in processing, Mt Sinai Hospital and Cancer Center.
