Job description

Malone Workforce Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an innovative company located in LaGrange, GA. The Maintenance Technician performs general and preventive maintenance on equipment as well as trouble shooting and servicing of mechanical breakdowns. Maintenance Technician Summary

Salary of $16.00-$19.00/hour with weekly pay based on skill/experience

Report to the Engineering Services Manager

Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance as part of the scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) process

Assist the PM Electricians as required

Maintenance of mechanical systems and troubleshoot breakdowns and abnormal machine operations

Assist with maintaining spare parts inventory

Work with or lead work performed by contractors

Complete work orders assigned

Present PM performance charts in the weekly Engineering Services team meeting

Actively participate in complex safety processes which includes complying with all safety rules and procedures and participate on a plant safety team

Maintain a 1.0 score on equipment PM post audits

Properly install screwed and welded piping systems

Work with drive systems, pneumatics and hydraulics

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

Minimum 2 years industrial mechanical experience. 2 year electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical degree from an accredited school is preferred, but not required

Must have basic mechanical knowledge that includes; drive system, piping systems, pneumatics and hydraulics

Must have working knowledge to properly install piping systems, both screwed welded

Read and comprehend mechanical drawings and schematics

Must have working knowledge of the tools and materials common to the mechanical trade

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, but must be available to work weekends and on-call as needed

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated, ability to work well independently as well as within a team

Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively interact with management, staff, vendors and customers

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and use motorized equipment (i.e. fork lifts, tuggers, jig lift)

Satisfactorily complete CSD (Continuous Skills Development) training requirements.
