Job Description
Your main duties will comprise
Monitor merchant/cardholder account activity to identify fraudulent transactions and rule violations of the card associations like VISA and Mastercard. Secure merchant accounts to prevent financial losses. Contact merchants and issuing banks to validate that charges are authorized. Work with merchants to resolve fraudulent activity. Maintain merchant processing statistics and records. Typically follow defined procedures, policies and precedents resolving highly unusual situations and day to day problems. Direct or provide daily compilation of IS production reports. Prepare analyses of fraud and / or chargeback reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•
Monitor and analyze merchant account activity to identify abnormal activity that may be fraudulent, violate the terms of the merchant agreement or indicate pending financial risk.
•
Frequently contact merchants and issuing bank to validate that charges are authorized.
•
Secure merchant accounts to prevent losses upon ascertaining abnormal activity or receiving notification of credit card loss or unauthorized use.
•
Work directly with merchants to resolve fraudulent or unauthorized activities. Communicate with card schemes regarding fraud related topics.
•
Record, track and maintain merchant processing activity records daily. Provide customers with support regarding fraud and security related issues.
•
We operate in an international environment where language skills are most important. Beside German and English especially French or Dutch are welcome to serve customers in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands.

Exposure to further multinational projects and geographies is another attractive aspect for candidates with proven language skills (both oral and written) of those countries we operate in. Requirements
•
Three to five or more years of job specific experience
•
Speak fluent German, English, further languages like French or Dutch are desirable
•
Have a strong ability to identify and interpret data and to resolve exceptional cases
•
Have a thorough knowledge of fraud & security services and operations, and current market trends
•
Have strong knowledge and expertise of customers´ needs and market requirements
•
Possess extensive independent judgment and thinking skills
•
Demonstrate ability to work with unwritten but generally understood instructions, considering precedents when available or applicable
•
Possess effective communication and writing skills
•
Have strong research and analytical skills
•
Are self-organized and can work independently
•
Have advanced MS Office user skills, in particular Excel, other applications welcome
