Palliative Consult Service – Nurse Practitioner

The Palliative Consult service supports patients dealing with serious illness to create value-concordant, medically optimized care plans . Our clinicians help patients build insight into their situations, ensuring that pain and other symptoms are well-managed.
We are a collaborative team focused on whole-person care and transdisciplinary work. We are passionate about providing our community’s most seriously ill patients with compassionate, clinically excellent care.
The Everett Clinic is looking for an ARNP with experience in Palliative care to join our Palliative Care Consult service. Applicants should have demonstrated practice in palliative care, and familiarity with medically complex patients.
This role will work collaboratively with the RNs, MD and Palliative Care Manager. A typical day will include a mix of home visits, phone and video telehealth visits and interdisciplinary discussions. The team’s goal is to reduce suffering and unnecessary/unbeneficial medical care for patients near end of life, increase appropriate hospice referrals, increase length of stay for patients on hospice. In addition, we work to support and educate our PCP and specialty practices in the clinical work of palliation.
